MARK ACTON 

Founder & Managing Director  (Aka Chief Emergence Orchestrator)

Mark is a professional engineer with experience grounded in the telecommunications industry. For the past 6 years his focus has been on telecom-IT operational support systems (OSS).

He founded Mobinomics in 2005 with the vision of creating a niche telecom-IT business servicing Africa’s network operators and service provider’s. A key foundation on which the business is built is to remain agile and focused in the spirit of “small is beautiful”.

Mark sees the increasingly critical role that management of large scale complex systems will play in the future. Every person and every business on the face of the planet will become deeply integrated economically and socially with emerging global digital communication platforms. Maintaining availability and stability of this most complex technical system created by man will need equal advances in engineering management paradigms and practices around complex systems.

Mark holds a MSc in Engineering Management and a BSC (Electronic engineering from University of Cape Town.

GUIDO ZSILAVECZ

Director and GM: Operations (aka Chief Insight Officer)

Guido spent many years developing service layer operational support systems in Telkom and Vodacom, and brings this extensive expertise to Mobinomics, assisting it to provide telco\\\'s with niche IT-based solutions.

As a key member of the senior management team at Mobinomics, Guido is strategically involved in providing solutions for its customers, but is also committed to the people within the business, ensuring that the growing Mobinomics team buys into its unique offering.

Away from the office Guido likes to spend his time SCUBA diving. He has published two marine identification guides which include new species he discovered and described.

Guido has a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town.

WINSTON TIMMIE

Director and GM: Architecture & Design (aka Chief Unleasher of Simplicity) 

Winston comes from a predominately IT Telecoms background with nine years spent at Vodacom prior to joining Mobinomics in 2006. “The knowledge and experienced gained throughout my career in IT and telecommunications provided me with the perfect platform to contribute meaningfully to the ideals of Mobinomics.”

 As a self-confessed problem solver he brings an in-depth understanding and practical application of IT and telecoms technologies, frameworks and best practices to the team.

 Winston has completed a B.Sc in Computer Science an MBA as well as various diploma courses.
