On deeper aspects of collaboration

The potential power of groups is enormous.

At every moment there is  a bifurcation point within a group.  This means there is a possibility — a choice at some level — of stabilizing at a less functional, less coherent state as part of a downward spiral or reorganizing at a higher functioning, more coherent state as part of an upward spiral.

To us this is the deeper aspect of making collaboration work. It requires the inner effort of raising our awareness of ourselves as members of a group.  It is about  being radically honest with ourselves, and others, when we see behavior and patterns of thinking which contribute to turbulence in the functioning of the group.

Part of our work is to develop methodologies that  integrate the above into a very practical way of making groups work. Because our experience is that if groups work - then projects work - and society benefits from communication and information infrastructures that work
